"The Dirt Road to the Information Superhighway"

SPIEGEL ONLINE was a good read about globalization. However, what was
interesting was this picture of an Indian Monk with his begging bowl, a
cigerette and his Cell Phone? I wonder who is he talking to? Is it God?
Is it the other Monks inside his Network?
And I imagined him coming
up to me in the streets of Haridwar and saying "Please give me 10
rupees (about 23 cents in Indian money). I need to recharge my cell
phone minutes".
